cm-super software package provides TeX font package (full version) with CM (EC) in Type1 in T1, T2*, TS1, X2 enc, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install cm-super
cm-super is installed in your system.
Make ensure the cm-super package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep cm-super *
You will get with cm-super package name, version, architecture and description in a table
